Maintain Hygiene for Self-care

Hygiene is an essential part of self-care. I personally maintain good hygiene wherever I go, whether in the office or at home. It brings me benefits and gives me a healthy feeling.

During Face Wash:

Every time I wash my face with face wash or normal water, I first clean my hands, before washing my face. I touch many things, and my hands easily collect dirt. If I wash my face directly with these hands, the dirt from my hands can transfer to my skin. Hands touch everything, yet germs are invisible, causing pimples on the face.

Face Towel:

After washing my face, I always use a face towel to dry it. I ensure not to use the towel I use for my legs or others’ towels. Using a clean towel for my face is hygienic. After drying my face, I expose the towel to sunlight to prevent it from becoming smelly due to dampness.

Towel Washing:

I wash my face towel every week to keep it clean and usable. Using it on my skin makes me feel fresh and safe. I keep it separate to prevent my kids from using it.

T-Shirts For Wet Hair:

After bathing, I use an old t-shirt of mine or my husband’s to wrap my wet hair. T-shirts are excellent for absorbing water, absorbing approximately 80% of the water from my wet hair immediately. I don’t leave it on my head for long; I remove it soon after leaving the bathroom. I use the t-shirt to absorb the remaining water by gently squeezing my hair and then let it dry in sunlight.

T-shirt Care:

I wash this t-shirt along with my face towel every week to prevent it from becoming sticky and smelly. It can effect my hair. So, Maintaining hygiene with my hair is very important.

Touching the Face:

Whenever I go out or to the office, I keep a tissue or handkerchief in my hand to touch my skin instead of using my fingers. I wipe away sweat with a tissue or handkerchief; I prefer using a handkerchief as it absorbs more sweat and is more comfortable for me. I wash the handkerchief daily after returning home.

Frequency of Touching Skin:

When I go out, I sometimes feel itchiness on my face due to my allergy to dirt. However, I refrain from touching my face with my hands and use a handkerchief instead. Frequently touching the face can cause acne.

Sanitizer in Bag:

I always keep sanitizer in my bag for instant hygiene purposes. I apply sanitizer on my hands if I accidentally touch my face or before eating.

Use of Separate Comb:

For combing my hair, I use a brush system comb, specifically a wooden hair brush for its natural benefits. I use a separate brush for hair brushing to maintain scalp cleanliness and hygiene. I clean it every week for better results, helping to delay hair dirtiness.

Face Washing During Bathing:

When washing my hair during a bath, dirt washes down with the water and touches my skin. Therefore, whether I shampoo or not, I wash my face with face wash afterward to remove germs from my skin.

Brushing Teeth:

Before starting my skincare routine, I always brush my teeth. I prepare for it immediately after finishing dinner. After brushing, I begin my double-cleansing process on my skin slowly, taking breaks and doing other tasks upon returning home.

Washing Bed Sheets and Pillowcases:

Clean bedsheets and pillowcases are essential for clean skin and silky, shiny hair. I wash my bedsheets and pillowcases every week and replace them with fresh ones. If bedsheets and pillowcases are not changed, acne or pimples may develop on my face, and my hair becomes dirty quickly.
