Nowadays conditioner is a must after shampooing. Regular conditioner is used for detangled hair and keeps hair soft and shiny but it can’t protect it internally. Deep conditioner makes hair healthy, glossy, smooth, and strong from the root.

We can realize from its name that deep condition means it goes into a deep situation. I recover from my hair problems naturally. So I use natural things to deep condition my hair. Deep conditioner helps to recover dull, dry, damaged hair and helps to remove dandruff.

Benefits of Henna Deep Conditioning:

  • Henna leaves are a natural ingredient used from generation to generation by many people to color their hair or cure different kinds of hair problems as tradition. Not only occasionally but also in regular life Henna keeps the necessary role for hair. The benefits of henna are uncountable. Here are some benefits:

     

    1. Keeps a healthy scalp and hair.

    2. Important for hair growth.

    3. Henna is a natural dye.

    4. Deeply conditions the hair.

    5. It Prevents dandruff and strengthens hair roots.

    6. Cure split ends and damaged hair.

    While primarily known for its coloring properties, henna can also enhance natural hair color and delay graying.

Preparing Henna Paste:

 Making this conditioner needed natural heena leaves. Approximately 7-8 cups of leaf is enough for short to medium hair lengths. Nowadays henna leaves are available in markets. But if you want to color hair and also want to get the other benefits of henna leaves, you have to take leaves with surety that the leaves you are taking to use color are good to excellent. In that case, you have to take leaves from a known person or place from where you used them before.

  1. Gather ingredients: Obtain high-quality henna leaves, preferably from a reliable source. You’ll also need a large strainer, a mortar and pestle (or a blender), a plastic or steel bowl, and mustard oil.

  2. Wash and grind: Rinse the henna leaves under running water to remove impurities. Then, grind them into a fine paste using a mortar and pestle or blender, adding water gradually until you reach a desired consistency.

3..Add oil: Mix a tablespoon of mustard oil into the henna paste to enhance its moisturizing properties.

Applying Henna Paste:

  1. Preparation: Use the henna paste in the early morning of the day, when you want to do deep condition your hair.
  2. Detangle hair: Comb your hair thoroughly to remove any knots
  3. Apply paste: Start by applying the henna paste to the middle sections of your hair, working your way towards the ends. Secure your hair in a bun or braids to keep the paste in place.

  4. Cover hair: Cover your hair with a plastic cap or shower cap to prevent the paste from drying out.

Wait: Leave the henna paste on your hair for at least 2-3 hours, or up to 6 hours for optimal results.

 

Washing and Conditioning:

  1. Rinse: Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water until all the henna paste is removed. Avoid using shampoo, as it can strip the henna’s natural oils. 

  2. Condition: let the hair dry naturally. After drying your hair apply coconut or olive oil to the hair. Keep the oil on your hair for that day. After that day, use shampoo to wash out oil from your hair. It will make your hair shine and glossy. The hair color will look amazing.

Henna is a natural ingredient to treat our hair from root to end. It’s a natural process to deep condition our hair to improve the condition of the scalp.

Note: While henna is generally safe for most people, it’s always a good idea to do a patch test on a small area of skin before applying it to your hair, especially if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

By following these steps and incorporating henna into your hair care routine, you can enjoy the many benefits of this natural and nourishing treatment.

Caution: Henna has natural cooling effects that cool down your scalp. But if you use it at night or for a long time it can cause cold issues for your health. From my experience, whenever I use it at night and go to sleep for a long time, I get a very bad cold and cough. So, beware of nighttime use and for a long time.
